AUBURN, Calif. -- Politics is spilling into Placer County's prosecution of a nanny accused of shaking a Roseville baby to death. Veronica Martinez Salcedo's attorney is seeking a mistrial. She says potential jurors may be influenced by a letter from the child's mother.
